Iolite

Iolite• Chakra correspondences: Third eye, soma; aligns all chakras• Physiological correspondences: Arteries, liver, pituitary gland, detoxification and elimination processes, respiratory system• Vibration: High LEGENDARY POWER The name Iolite derives from the Greek Ios, meaning violet. It is known as the water sapphire because when you look into the stone, it resembles tranquil water. Iolite’s beautiful colors vary depending on the direction from which you view the stone. This three-way pleochroism reflects the vision and inner knowledge that the crystal contains. Placed on the third eye or soma chakra, Iolite stimulates clairvoyance and kything. By enhancing visualization, it can take you journeying through other realms or lifetimes. Iolite contains the power of insight and carries a dynamic hologram of soul knowing. Perception and insight work at different levels. Everyday awareness perceives the external world and the signals it gives off. Yet behavior is unconsciously driven by emotional awareness. This instinctive awareness is mediated through the oldest part of the brain, its stem. The neural programming connected to it includes the fight-or-flight mechanism. At this level, reality is viewed as three-dimensional. Illusions and misunderstandings occur, based on what you have been conditioned to expect or on your inner constitutional state. Iolite expands metaphysical perception and heightens intuition. This way of experiencing the world aligns intention and perception, going beyond the bounds of consensual reality into a wider awareness of the physical and nonphysical worlds. Iolite may be the “compass crystal” the Vikings used to navigate during sea voyages. It provides an excellent spiritual compass, too. Iolite is attributed to Archangels Gabriel, the angel of vision, and Michael, the spiritual warrior.
